Web Design

UI/UX

The Meta Front-End Developer course, Principles of UI/UX, was my first foray into UI/UX. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how much my past experience in marketing and market research was germane to UI/UX, and I was able to seamlessly integrate my experience into this project.  In addition, I found Figma easy to learn and enjoyable.

REACT

Two of the nine courses of the Meta Front-End Developer Certificate focused on React. Below you will find two projects that showcase this learning. These projects also use Chakra UI, Formik, Yup, and React Router.

In addition, these projects highlight my knowledge of HTML and CSS, which I have worked with for many years. The first commercial HTML/CSS website I built was over 20 years ago using Dreamweaver.

WORDPRESS

I built my first WordPress site in 2016 and have been using it ever since. WordPress was a cost-friendly way of publishing PRISM and stoxdox, as showcased below. My knowledge of HTML and CSS aided greatly in designing these sites.

This experience extends to the use of plugins, including WP Rocket for performance, WooCommerce for ecommerce capabilities, and Yoast for SEO. PRISM uses the Extra Theme while stoxdox uses Divi Builder.
